The Shops at Wailea is a seaside, open
air mall situated in gorgeous South
Maui, which offers upscale retail, fi ne
dining and galleries, along with the usual
mall fare. Every Wednesday, they host
fantastic live entertainment in their lower
courtyard, including local hula halau and
a wide variety of talented musicians. In
honor of the event many of the shops,
restaurants and galleries offer sales, artist
appearances and demonstrations.
First Friday Wailuku

Wailuku, aside from being the Maui
County Seat, has a unique local charm.
Maybe it's the historic buildings, old
monkey pod trees or that bohemian
meets plantation feel. Ambiance aside,
it has a great variety of shops, cafÄ's and
restaurants. Every fi rst Friday of the
month, Wailuku merchants extend their
hours and set up evening sidewalk sales,
some restaurants also stay open for dinner.
There are also food booths, lives bands,
DJs, good company and lots, lots more.

Also known as "The Art Capital of the
Pacifi c," Lahaina has more galleries per
capita than any other American town,
and is ranked with the likes of Paris and
New York. Every Friday night the public
is invited to take a walk along Front
Street and enjoy new openings, artist
demonstrations, music, free champagne
